With the recent completion of the bulk water pipeline by the City of Sitka, 2,500 feet of piping connects the penstock from Blue Lake to the ocean shore in Sawmill Cove
Ship loading will be conducted 2000 feet offshore using an underground piping system connecting the terminal head from shore to the intake of the ship.
The head of the pipeline is capable of delivering 22,500 gallons of water per minute or approximately 32 million gallons per day.
True Alaska Bottling will provide onshore labor and coordination of all loading requirements. Each loading will require a “Water Loading Plan” which must be submitted to the City of Sitka at least 10 days prior to loading.
